A suspended place
over time, in the historic town centre.
We are in the place where, until after the Second World War, the municipal washhouse of Santarcangelo stood. Of that place, only a single original washhouse remains, carved out of stone. Surrounding it is a garden with lights, tables and a kitchen.
We cook fish and vegetables — with the same care, without distinction. We use only wholemeal and type 1 flours. We roll out the passatelli by hand, one by one, according to the Lavatoio recipe. If you are looking for where to eat in Santarcangelo, let's explain here why we are different.

Il Lavatoio does not express its connection to Romagna through tagliatelle or house wine. It expresses it through the love with which every Romagnolo does the things they do. With care, without shortcuts, with the courage to be different.
